Our reservoir-to-wire business model consists in thermal generation in the proximity of onshore natural gas fields.

Our reservoir-to-wire business model, through the integration of upstream gas production and downstream monetization, is very competitive, and an ideal way to monetize gas, because such model is suited to the current demands of the Brazilian energy system. We have privileged access to natural resources, adding value, synergies and competitive advantages over non-integrated competitors.

All the natural gas produced by Eneva is directed to the Parnaíba Thermoelectric Complex, a set of four power plants with 1,4GW of gross installed capacity. The energy produced in the Parnaíba Complex is distributed throughout Brazil by transmission networks nearby. Due to the reservoir-to-wire model, Eneva can produce energy more efficiently, contributing to the security and reliability of the Brazilian power system.

Recently, exploration and production of onshore natural gas has been considered a priority in the Brazilian energy sector and an essential activity for low-cost energy production. Therefore, natural gas is an essential component for sustainable development and wealth creation in Brazil.
