Pecém II thermoelectric power plant is located in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante (CE). Pecém II is a coal-fueled power plant which contributes to the expansion of electricity production in Ceará.

Pecém II, a venture 50% ENEVA and 50% E.ON, has 365 MW of installed capacity. By trading 276 average MW at the new energy auction A-5 held in September 2008, Pecém II has assured a 15 year contract from 2013.

In June 2013, Pecém II synchronized with the National Interconnected System (SIN) and completed all electrical tests required by ONS. In October, the plant was authorized by Aneel to start commercial operations.​

At the beginning of 2016, Pecém II achieved certification in the international standards ISO 14001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001 (health and safety at work).​
